Harriet Tubman - A Woman Of Strength
Harriet Tubman was such a strong black woman that did not allow anything to stop her from the task at hand.  Although escaping slavery was dangerous she pushed pass the fear and claimed her freedom.  When others wanted to give up she kept going.  She continued on to freedom even after her husband and two brothers declined.  Her faith and strength helped so many others achieve freedom.  As I began to research Mrs. Tubman I could not find one picture of her smiling.  In each photo she looked hard, strong, and even mad at times. I know that she experienced tremendous pain; nevertheless, I can only hope that her heart smiled as she thought of all the people she helped.  I hope that at some point in her life, after all her many works were done, she was able to find pride in the many lives she saved.  I am thankful for Mrs. Harriet Tubman and will think her whenever I think about giving up.
